The Jonathan Jorstad Memorial Scholarship has been established to assist a Pisgah High School senior who plans on attending Western Carolina University to play football. Friends and family have established this scholarship in memory of Jonathan, who was an avid Pisgah Bear and WCU Catamount. The scholarship can be used by walk on student athletes or in conjunction with any other scholarship.
Jonathan spent a great deal of his time giving back to the community he loved. He supported Pisgah Nation on many levels and was a very active member of the Catamount Club. Fall weekends for Jonathan often consisted of Friday Night Lights supporting the Black Bears and College Saturdays cheering on the Catamounts.
Scholarship amount will be determined annually based on available funds; scholarship award will be a minimum $1,000 renewable scholarship for up to four years (minimum $4,000 total).
