Sportsman’s Club Scholarship

The sportsman’s club of Haywood County Schools, along with the Haywood County Schools Foundation, have established this scholarship for one graduating senior from Tuscola and one graduating senior from Pisgah High Schools. Monies are raised annually through various Sportsman’s Club fundraisers. This is a one-time $1,000 scholarship. Funds may be applied to the cost of undergraduate tuition, fees, on-campus room and board, books and other college expenses.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Graduating senior from Tuscola or Pisgah High School.
• A member of the Sportsman’s Club for at least two – consecutive years (must be a member during senior year)
• GPA of at least 3.0

SELECTION PROCESS AND AWARDS

A scholarship committee of the Haywood County Schools Foundation and the Haywood County Sportsman’s Club will review all completed scholarship applications. The committee reserves the right to rescind an award should a recipient’s circumstances change, such as failure to graduate from high school or failure to enroll at an accredited institution. The Board of Directors of the Foundation will make the final decision on the recipients of this scholarship. The Board’s decision shall be final. The Haywood County Schools Foundation, Inc., a tax-exempt charitable foundation, will administer the scholarship fund.
