The Teri H. Hughes Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established with the Haywood County Schools Foundation, Inc., to honor Teri’s memory and commitment to the students at Pisgah High School who wish to pursue a degree in the performing arts field. Teri’s friends, faculty at Pisgah High School and family have established the memorial scholarship fund. This is a one – time $1,000 scholarship available to a student at Pisgah High School.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
• Graduating High School Senior from Pisgah High School
• Active participation in and contributions to the performing arts program(s) at Pisgah High School
• Commitment to a degree program in the performing arts including but not limited to secondary teaching in the performing arts
• Attending a community or university college
• Participation in extracurricular activities and community service
• Financial Need
SELECTION PROCESS AND AWARD
The scholarship committee of the Haywood County Schools Foundation will review the application. The Board of Directors of the Foundation will make the final decision on the recipient of this scholarship. The Board’s decision shall be final. The Haywood County Schools Foundation, Inc., a tax-exempt charitable foundation, will administer the scholarship fund.
