The Hank Millar Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established by friends and family to honor Hank’s memory and commitment to Haywood County. The Memorial Fund will be administered by the Haywood County Schools Foundation. This is a one – time scholarship for $750.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Graduating High School Senior from Tuscola High School
• Financial Need
• Attending a community, vocational or university college
• Preference given to students perusing a degree in construction, agriculture, or automotive trades.

SELECTION PROCESS

The Hank Millar Memorial Scholarship committee will make a recommendation for the recipient. The selection process shall consist of a review and evaluation of the scholarship application, possibly a personal interview. The Board of Directors of the Foundation will make the final decision on the recipient of this scholarship. The Board’s decision shall be final. The Haywood County Schools Foundation, Inc., a tax-exempt charitable foundation, will administer the scholarship fund.
