Moses Robinson was a 1951 graduate of Waynesville Township High School. He was an average student, and although he never pursued a high education, he respected it and encourages others to do so. He was primarily a home builder and helped others in his community. The Moses L. Robinson Memorial Scholarship has been established by his family with the Haywood County Schools Foundation to honor Moses’s memory and assist students pursuing a career in the construction trades or agriculture related fields. Scholarship amount determined by available funds.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
• Graduating High School Senior from public school in Haywood County
• Demonstrates good character
• Financial Need
• Pursuing a degree in construction or agricultural related fields
ELECTION PROCESS AND AWARD
A committee, appointed by Haywood County Schools Foundation, will
make the selection of recipients for the scholarship. The selection process shall consist of a review and evaluation of the scholarship application and possibly a personal interview. The Haywood County Schools Foundation will administer the Memorial Scholarship fund. The Board of Directors of the Foundation will make the final decision on the recipient of this scholarship. The Board’s decision shall be final. The Haywood County Schools Foundation, Inc., a tax-exempt charitable foundation, will administer the scholarship fund.
